Sound Therapy & Positive Affirmations

Sound Therapy has been around for thousands of years, through Ancient Egypt to India, Africa and South East Asia as well as Indigenous Australia, where sound stills plays a large part in cultural ceremonies today.

In Sound Therapy, repetitive tones are played harmoniously using various instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, drums, chimes, tuning forks, harps, didgeridoos and various other musical implements.

Sound Waves affect matter; it transmits energy into whatever it comes into contact with. In physics and the law of resonance; strong vibrations will affect weaker vibrations, elevating them to the same frequency. These rhythmic sound vibrations move through each cell in the body. Due to the high water content of averaging 70-80% per cell, the sound frequencies produce a ripple or wave effect within us where internal muscles, organs, nerves and cells are literally massaged and begin to relax and rejuvenate. Prolonged immersion in therapeutic sound can help in many areas from reducing stress and anxiety, promoting relaxation, balancing mood and energy levels, improving sleep patterns, easing physical/mental/emotional pain, promoting cellular regeneration and cellular memory, increase nutrient uptake by cells and balance circulation and glandular systems. It can for many people also induce meditation and awareness and expand consciousness.

Sound is regarded as the beginning of the universe….the beginning of all creation.

Sound Therapy helps the brain to move into deep Alpha and Theta frequencies. Alpha waves are produced in deep relaxation and meditation. Intuition is stimulated in this state as well as imagination, memory and learning. Theta states are found during deep meditation, light sleep and REM dream state and while under hypnosis. Theta is connected to a realm of our subconscious where intense visualization, creativity, insight, healing and a deep sense of connection to the universe is often found. Sound healing can help prolong and extend the theta frequencies. To be in deep Theta relaxation or meditation for 20mins has been shown to be better than 6 hours of regular sleep.

Sound Therapy can also be used to unblock and rebalance each of the 7 main chakra energy centres within the body. Each chakra governs different physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of us. Many instruments such as singing bowls, chakra drums and tuning forks are attuned to sound at the specific frequencies or notes (A,B,C,D,E,F,G).

Solfeggio frequencies are also used in Sound healing generally and for chakra rebalancing. Solfeggio frequencies are a 6 tone electromagnetic frequency; they have a cyclic variation of a specific number sequence pattern. This Ancient Scale was used in sacred music and specifically Gregorian Chants. There is a particular Solfeggio frequency directly related to each of the major chakras and using these higher note vibrations can help powerfully cleanse and maintain perfect energetic balance. This scale is just one type of musical scale; where other lower scale frequencies of the notes can give intense balancing effects as well.

To receive Sound Therapy is not only healing to the body mind and soul but to create healing sound can be a beautiful form of self-expression as well for people of all ages.

By repeating positive affirmations daily, you are boosting your self-esteem and improving your confidence.

Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.” Considering the ‘powerful force’ of the words we utter, we must discipline ourselves to speak in a way that conveys respect, gentleness and humility.

Our words have the power to change our lives. By paying more attention to how we speak, and hence how we think, we can change our circumstances for the better. The Power of the Spoken Word will help you make the positive changes that you have always wanted to make.
